The Hot Springs
Located on the south shore of Harrison Lake, the hot springs are accessable along a reasonably level gravel path to the east of the Harrison Resort Hotel. The path follows the lakeshore, crossing over the Miami River, to a pool and hot springs building. For thousands of years the springs were considered to be medicinal by first nations people. Although not obvious from the surface, there are two springs, one sulphur, with temperature of 40°C, and one postashwith temperature of 65°C. The artesian springs have a flow of 347 gallons per hour (one of the highest flow rates in the province) and they are among the hottest in the Province. The views of the Lake from the path and at the Harrison Hot Springs are stunning. Pools suitable for bathing are located at the Harrison Resort Hotel and the Public Pool.
