Kent comprises the communities of: Agassiz, Chehalis, Harrison Mills, Kent & Seabird Island, with a combined population of 5,300. The Aberdeen Hotel, in Agassiz, was replicated in 1995 to act as an information/historical area with public washrooms and a performance platform. It is open May to October.

Major highways connecting Kent with the Valley are Scenic 7 (Lougheed) running East and West and 9 which runs north and south. Local beaches may enjoyed at the Sasquatch Provincial Park, Harrison Hot Springs lagoon and Kilby Park.

The Pacific Agri-Food Research Centre, Agassiz, is part of the Research Branch of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. Research is conducted on intensive crop production systems, integrated pest management, poultry nutrition and sustainable agriculture. Take virtual visit through the Research Center Web Site.
