Once the largest city west of Chicago and north of San Francisco, the gold rush in Yale was instrumental in uniting Vancouver Island and the Mainland in what was to become the Province of BC. Today, you can pan for gold, take an historic Town Walking Tour, visit the Museum and St. John's the Divine Anglican Church, the second oldest church on its original site located on BC's mainland.
