As part of a National initiative, Bowl for Kids’ Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters Abbotsford . Mission. Ridge Meadows’ largest and most important fundraiser. It is also the most popular because it is a fun way to make a difference in the community! It’s bowling with a fun Rodeo theme, great music, exciting prizes and more! Who Participates? Co-workers, families, friends and participants from various organizations in Abbotsford, Mission and Ridge Meadows collect pledges and bowl for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Bowlers and sponsors are people just like you who want to give back to the kids in our community. It doesn’t matter if you’re a high scoring “Kegler”, or have never bowled before. How Does it Work? From our bowling schedule pick a date and venue that works for your team and Big Brothers Big Sisters will book a lane for you. To book your team, please send us your $25 lane fee no later than two weeks prior to the event. Each team member receives a pledge book and collects donations on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Then all you do is round up your team, show up at the bowling centre in your Rodeo Style costumes (optional) on the day of your event, with pledge books and money in hand, and enjoy lots of fun and games (and the chance to win great prizes). Join many other community teams in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mentoring programs. When and Where is it? Bowl for Kids’ Sake 2006 will run from March 2nd—5th in Abbotsford, and from March 10th—11th in Ridge Meadows. Why Should you Bowl for Kids’ Sake? It’s not just about the bowling, it’s a chance to have fun with your friends and at the same time help the kids in your community! As a non- profit organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters receives no direct government funding. The funds raised through this event will make a BIG difference towards the growth and maintenance of our mentoring programs. … It’s not about bowling, it’s about helping Kids!
