The park has wonderful vistas of the Valley, over looking Matsqui Prairie. Enjoy a snack at the Blackberry Kitchen Cafe. The park is on the former site of St. Mary's Mission, founded by Oblates of Mary Immaculate in 1861. The Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, a six sided cupola topped by a silver dome and crowned by a white cross, overlooks the park site as a conspicuous landmark. The O.M.I. Cemetery was dedicated by the Oblates before 1870. This peaceful and tranquil place is the final resting place of many of the Oblate missionaries.
